This photo was submitted by an independent contributor. He writes: "Here's a women's urinal from the basement ladies' room of the Oregon Historical Society in Portland (no, it's not one of the displays). This one happens to be a Kohler "Hygeia", which was in hot competition with the [American Standard's women's urinal called] Sanistand at one time."
To the best of our knowledge, both the Kohler "Hygeia" and the American Standard "Sanistad" women's urinals were manufactured during the first part of the 1950's. A few still remain in use across the country.
