"Washington has plenty of luxurious steakhouses that are branches of national chains. Sam & Harry's is homegrown, though, and has a keen idea of what Washingtonians like. In addition to top-of-the-line steaks, it features fish, shellfish and hearty lunchtime salads. And it used to serve some of the closest-to-ideal crab cakes. But as it's spread to the suburbs, Sam & Harry's seems to have spread itself too thin."
